Thameside FC was formed after Sunday league veterans Mark Goddard and Mark Wooderson parted company from Marley FC in 2004/05.Along with veteran Ian Willett,a new team was formed consisting of a large number of work mates from a local builders yard and their friends.

Deciding to have a 'bit of a laugh',the team managed one league win in its first season, scoring only 14 League goals,to the reply of 80 goals conceded.Of those games played,Thameside won only 1 match, and drawing 1.

Many players came and went as the team changed throughout its first season. The kick abouts in a dusty builders yard had evolved into a mens sunday league side, desperate for success.

With Thameside into their second tour of duty, the 'bit of a laugh' factor has been replaced with a will to succeed. Can the boys in blue go onto bigger things in season 2006/07 and 2007/08 ?
